STRATEGI DAN IMPLEMENTASI PELAKSANAAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DI SMP N 9 YOGYAKARTA
Abstract
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) strategi pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di sekolah; dan (2) implementasi pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di SMPN 9 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan denan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi, yaitu dengan pengecekan terhadap informasi hasil wawancara dengan dokumentasi dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di SMPN 9 Yogyakarta dapat dilakukan melalui: pengintegrasian nilai dan etika pada mata pelajaran, internalisasi nilai positif yang di tanamkan oleh semua warga sekolah, pembiasaan dan latihan, pemberian contoh dan teladan, penciptaan suasana berkarakter di sekolah, serta pembudayaan. Implementasi pendidikan karakter di SMPN 9 Yogyakarta dilakukan melalui keterpaduan antara pembentukan karakter dengan pembelajaran, manajemen sekolah, dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Kata Kunci: strategi, implementasi, pendidikan karakter STRATEGY AND IMPLEMENTATION OF CHARACTER EDUCATION IN SMP N 9 YOGYAKARTA Abstract: This study aimed to describe: (1) the implementation of character education strategy in schools; and (2) the implementation of character education at SMPN 9 Yogyakarta. This research was a qualitative descriptive study. The data collection was done by observation, interview, and documentation. Data validity was checked by triangulation techniques, by comparing the information from the results of interviews with documentation and observation. The results showed that the strategy of implementation of character education at SMPN 9 Yogyakarta was conducted through: integrating values and ethics in the school subjects, the internalization of positive values instilled by all of the school community members, habit formation and training, giving an example and role model, the creation of an atmosphere of a school with character in, and habit formation. The implementation of character education at SMPN 9 Yogyakarta was done through the integratedness of character formation with teaching and learning, school management, and extracurricular activities.
