Ethnomathematics journal was established in 2020 by Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, incorporated with Ethnomath Association. The first issue was published in March 2020, accepting papers in Bahasa Indonesia. With a stronger managerial board, the journal started to publish papers in English to gain wider readers and subscriptions. It publishes two issues in a year from 2021 until the present. Furthermore, the Ethnomathematics Journal has been ACCREDITED by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, the Republic of Indonesia as an achievement for the peer-reviewed journal which has excellent quality in management and publication and effective until 2026.
